Drawing

Charcol Drawings

12''*18''
In this project we practiced working with charcoal. This was the first time that I had really worked with charcoal and this made the project a lot harder for me. Because I had no practice with this medium I wasn't very confidant with the work I had been doing in the beginning. After I had been working on the drawing for a while I began to like the outcome of it more. I feel that the project ran a little long, because of this I had finished and the project still wasnt done so I felt board at the end. Charcoal isn't my favorite medium to work with, but now that I have more practice and knowledge about it I feel better about using it.

One Line drawing

Picture
36*24
For this project we were given the task of making a drawing while only using one line. This project was a lot different than other art pieces I've made in the past, I had to let go of the fact that it wouldn't be realistic and perfect. I think that this really impacted my project because I wasn't working to make it perfect, but to draw it in a different way. The way I made my final product was at first making a rough line, I didn't sketch it with a pencil but I went in straight with a marker and worked with the mistakes I made along the way. I liked that we went to doing the final line right away because it allowed me to use the things I didn't like about it and I could incorporate it into what I was doing.
